On Thursday, 26^th April, we will launch the Western Cape Economic Development Partnership (EDP) as part of facilitating effective partnerships for inclusive growth in our region.

The launch of the EDP will mark the start of a process of co-creation of economic vision and strategy, and co-implementation of economic programmes and projects. We cordially invite representatives from all organisations that are involved in the Western Cape economic development and delivery system to attend.

The launch will be an opportunity to demonstrate your support for building effective partnerships for inclusive growth, and to help shape the future programme of activities for the EDP. We will be focusing on key economic issues affecting the future of our country, region and localities and how we could collectively respond to the challenges that lie ahead. We will also highlight some of the exciting grassroots, local and regional economic partnerships that have already been established. There will be the option of a tour of the Cape Town Film Studios, which in itself is an innovative project that adds tremendous value to our economy.

Enhancing quality and productivity: A workshop by SARIMA

The Southern African Research and Innovation Management Association (SARIMA) is hosting a workshop on Enhancing quality and productivity: Project management for research managers in scientific research laboratories and institutes in partnership with the South African Nuclear Energy Corporation (Necsa) and The AURUM Institute (AURUM).

The workshop will be held from 26 to 27 March 2012 at the Farm Inn Country Hotel in Pretoria.  The workshop invitation and programme and the workshop registration form is attached.

On the last day provision has been made for SARIMA to engage with workshop participants on their training and capacity building needs to ensure that SARIMA’s interventions add value and remain relevant.
